Frequently Asked Questions
Covid 19
We remain focused on trying to minimize the impact of Covid 19 on our clients and staff. While a number of Provincial Health Orders have been relaxed, we ask for your cooperation in helping us keep you and our staff safe. Policies and requirements may change on short notice.
Is your office open?
Yes, we are open during our regular hours, which are 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. At this time we are available by telephone and in-person meetings will be by appointment only. If you would like to make an appointment, please telephone us at 250-334-4461 or contact us. While we are seeing more and more clients in person, we have found the Video meetings have been very effective and efficient. If you would prefer to meet via video, then please let us know.
Do I need to wear a mask to my office appointment?
We do not, at this time, require that clients wear a mask. We do ask that clients sanitize their hands upon entry, and we encourage you to wear a mask. If you do not have one, a disposable mask will be provided to you upon request. Please do not come to the office if you are exhibiting any symptoms of sickness.
Are you taking on new clients?
Yes, we are selectively taking on new clients. We need to know who you are when assisting you with your legal transactions, so please be prepared to email us a copy or photo of your government issue photo ID and a secondary piece of ID. If you have any questions, telephone us at 250-334-4461 or contact us.
Will you be able to assist me with completing my real estate transaction?
Yes! The Land Title Survey Authority does require lawyers to witness a client’s signature on land transfer documents in person. As soon as your documents are ready for signature, our office will contact you to make an appointment. Your health and that of our staff is of utmost importance. As such, client meetings are by appointment and only as strictly necessary.
