Georgia joined Swift Datoo in 2018, after practicing for four years in the Vancouver office of an international law firm.
Georgia works with clients on a number of business matters, including incorporation, asset and share purchases, corporate restructuring, continuation, dissolution, real estate transactions, and wills and estates. She also has experience in the complex relationship between businesses, First Nations and governments in Canada, including advising on and negotiating commercial transactions, business structuring, and consultation protocols, as well as participating in regulatory proceedings and engaging in government-to-government negotiations.
Georgia received her Law degree from the University of Calgary in 2013, where she was awarded the Dean Michael Wylie Award for Social Responsibility in honour of her volunteer work on a number of community initiatives. After graduating, Georgia worked in Alaska for a council of over 70 First Nations and Tribes in developing a governance strategy for the management of the Yukon River Watershed — work for which she was awarded a number of government grants and scholarships. Georgia also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University in English Literature and is a trained end-of-life Doula.
Georgia looks forward to developing roots in the Comox Valley community.
