Suzanne obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Latin American Studies from the University of British Columbia, after graduating from Highland Secondary in the Comox Valley. She completed her Law degree at the University of Victoria where she participated in the co-operative education program.
Suzanne joined Swift Datoo in April of 2017 after spending five years in Victoria at a firm with a focus on wills, estates, and trusts. Suzanne’s preferred area of practice is in wills, estates, and trusts litigation. She enjoys advising executors and beneficiaries with respect to contested estate accounts and administration under the Wills, Estates and Succession Act, and helping resolve conflicts regarding powers of attorney and other incapacity issues. Her litigation practice also includes committeeships (adult guardianship orders), elder law, employment law, and general civil litigation matters.
Suzanne is a contributing author to The Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia’s widely used publication, “BC Probate & Estate Administration Practice Manual”. She is also a board member of the Comox Valley Family Services Association, and the Sid Williams Theatre Society.
